EMPTINESS

What do you do when you feel empty?
Some turn to parties to hide the feeling of lonesomeness.
They go to parties to be acquainted with more people so that they can say to themselves that they are not forlorn.
Some turn to alcohol.
They try to anaesthetize their feelings.
Some turn to love.
They hope to find someone that will be able to give them the love that they long for.
They turn to any other thing except God.
But after doing all this, at the end of the day, they still do feel the emptiness.
Because you can never be with your friends for 24 hours.
So when you go back to that empty shell, the feeling of loneliness will hit you again.
And alcohol wont help because the effect of the alcohol will wear off soon, and you may start feeling a thousand and one feelings again.
And the love you get can never satisfy the desire that you long for inside you.
The trouble comes when we rely so much on such things.
We will never come to recognize that all these are things that will fade away.
But the love of the Lord is forever.
And he is the only one that can fill the emptiness in you.
Learn to enjoy his unconditional love. The emptiness in your heart, will be filled with his love. He is just so amazing.
Reading something is never as good as experiencing it yourself. So why don’t you ask the Lord to fill the emptiness in your heart right now? All you have to do is ask, believe and prepare to receive.
